Take a nostalgic journey into the past and travel on the famous Steam Train between Aviemore and Broomhill.
From Broomhill you will continue your journey by coach to the nearby Heather Centre where we will take a comfort break and light lunch.
Travel on to Newtonmore and visit the Highland Folk Museum. Learn how the highland people lived and worked in the period 1700- 1960.
Finally, journey to the historical Ruthven Barracks in Kingussie. Built in the early 1700,s to quell the Jacobite uprising, it represents a number of fortifications established in Scotland around that time. Although now mostly in ruins much of the stonework still stands today.
