Drop Off: 9.45am | Braes of Foss Schiehallion Car Park
4-6 hours hike
Level - Moderate
Pick Up: 5:00pm | Braes of Foss Schiehallion Car Park
Schiehallion is one of the most well known munro's in Scotland and luckily for us it is located here, right in the heart of Perthshire. Not only is it famous for it's obvious cone peak, viewable from Loch Rannoch and Tummel but it is also known for its history and involvement in the measuring of the earth's mass.
Elizabeth Yule will drop you and all fellow hikers at the braes of foss car park which is the starting point of this full day hike. There are well maintained toilet facilities in the car park and you start your munro hike with a walk through well pathed moore's and towards the lower part of the ridge. You can enjoy panoramic views looking over Loch Tummel.
The terrain is varied but well constructed, starting out dry and easier underfoot. As the route progresses, the terrain becomes tougher and the introduction to large boulders begins. As you reach the summit you will be greeted with jaw dropping views, 360 across Rannoch Moor and on a clear day, you can see the peaks of Glencoe.

However in the summer months, the area is widely popular for hill walkers and hikers keen to tick off multi summits from their extensive munro list. 4-5 hours hike
Level - Moderate
Pick Up: 5:00pm | Glen Lednock
One of the easier ascents in the area of Perthshire standing at 931m in elevation. Ben Chonzie is a simple and enjoyable hike, located just outside of Comrie and prominant amongst the heather moorland. The terrain is a well marked path along the track and across the moorlands with short boggy sections along the way. As you near closer to the summit of this munro, you will have beautiful views behind you, looking back along the Glen so be sure to take those rest stops and take it all in.
The summit of Ben Chonzie is less than a mountain peak as it mellows out at the top, make sure you have your navigation maps with you so you know when you have bagged this munro.
Our coach driver will drop off all hikers and walkers at the nearest car park to Coishavachan track, Glen Lednock, but note, there are no toilet facilities available so please make sure you use any local facilities prior to boarding the coach.
